The Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police has released the detachment’s monthly domestic incidents report.
In the month of May, members of the detachment investigated 38 domestic related incidents, eight of which resulted in someone being charged with a criminal offence.
Some of the charges include:
Sexual Assault Cause Bodily Harm – Choke, Suffocate or Strangle
Assault with a Weapon
Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
Possession of a Schedule I Substance
Fail to Comply with Release Order
The OPP will not release names in order to protect the identity of the victims.
