KL resident charged with drug offences
A Kirkland Lake resident has been charged with a number of drug related offences following the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Hayes Stree,
On June 10th The OPP North East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with the assistance of the OPP North East Region Canine Unit, executed the search warrant.
Police officials say they “seized approximately $5,000 in Canadian Currency and drugs suspected to be Cocaine, Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) and Benzodiazepine (Xanax). Total street value of the seizure is estimated to be $25,000.”
As a result, Brian PASCOE, 44 years-of-age, of Kirkland Lake, has been charged with the following:
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
Possession of a Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
Possession of a Schedule IV Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC).
None of the charges have been proven in court.
The accused was release on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on July 29, 2021.
