After being closed for an extended period of time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kirkland Lake’s Salvation Army Thrift Store has re-opened.

Chaplain Robbie Donaldson says the store will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9am to 3pm. Donaldson also stresses that donations will only be accepted on those days and during those time periods.

He adds there is a new entrance which is located near the white sign however for those with special needs arrangements will be made to utilize the ramp.

Donaldson also points out the store has a very new look. It has been freshly painted and everything has been scrubbed down.

In terms of social distancing a one-way system has been implemented, racks are six feet apart from each other and hand sanitizer will be available.

Donaldson also states the use of debit or credit cards is encouraged.
